1. Boat Bassheads 220

The Boat Bassheads wired earphone that features 10mm drivers. The build quality is excellent, with the inline controls having a matt finish. The medium-sized earcups provided an excellent fit in the ear.

It is comfortable even after extended use and while jogging. I could wear the earphones for quite a long time, but the size of the ear tips was a little big for my ears. However, this is not a problem since they provide three different sizes for different fits.

It would have been preferable if the wires had been a little stronger. The thin flat wire might be better for flexibility and avoiding tangled wires, but they are weaker compared to normally rounded wires.

The sound quality is adequate for the price. The bass is excellent but not overpowering, and more treble would have resulted in a more balanced sound. I was happy with the overall sound quality, especially the bass. I was able to enjoy most of the

Boat Bassheads 225 is very similar to Bassheads 220 but with a little improvement in the overall sound quality. Boat Bassheads 225 is very similar to the Bassheads 220 with its ear tips, flat wire, inline controls, and fit.

I was happy about the fact that it retained the same build quality with two blocks that house the controls. 

I was able to wear the earphones for quite some time, but the ear tips were a little large for my ears. This is not a problem because they offer three different sizes for different fits.

It would have been better if the wires had been stronger. Although thin flat wires are better for flexibility and avoiding tangled wires, they are weaker than normally rounded wires.


The sound quality is very similar to the Bassheads 225, but I noticed a slight improvement in the sound profile. The mids, highs, and lows are much more nuanced and well-balanced. I was able to distinguish between high-pitched sounds and dialogues quite easily. While playing games, I was able to understand the light footsteps and their direction.

The mic performance is really good in the Bassheads 225 as the other side of my call could hear me properly, even with ambient noise. Overall, Bassheads 225 is a well-balanced earphone for the price with good build quality and good overall sound quality.

1. Design and Build Quality

BoAt Basshhead 220 and 225 carry the same design and almost similar build. Both of them use a thin wire instead of the normal rounded wire for better flexibility and to avoid wire entanglement.


Both the Boat Bassheads 220 vs 225, are comfortable to wear for long periods. You won’t feel it fall off even if you are jogging or going for a run. The ear tips are not made of plastic; instead are made of metal which has a very fine polish to enhance the quality and appearance of the earphones.

The boat 220 and 225 uses a thin wire for more flexibility but loses longevity. The difference between boat 220 and 225 isn’t much when overall design and build quality is considered.
