Asus ROG is Asus’ flagship laptop model, and it shows in the price! While this laptop is powered by outdated non-RTX graphics, GTX 1650, which is weaker than all of the laptops featured here, it has some additional advantages and charm.
The first thing that struck me about the laptop was its excellent build quality. It has an aluminium chassis, which helps with cooling, and looks great. Even though it has a weaker GPU, it packs a lot of power into it, bringing it closer to the RTX 3050.
I could play most titles at 1080p, although with lesser settings, but I couldn’t turn up the settings for more demanding games. Nonetheless, it is ideal for competitive titles since I was able to play CS: GO and Valorant at above 100fps.
The higher-quality display made a noticeable impact on the entire gameplay experience. The 144Hz refresh rate and great reaction rate of the panel made the game as smooth as butter.
It has a 17-inch screen, which is much larger than the regular 15.6-inch display. I had a lot of fun playing competitive games on a portable system with a larger display.
