Fire Bollt Ninja 3 vs Ring 2 Review

Fire Bollt Ninja 3 vs Ring 2 Review

While both are from the same brand, they are different, and we will review them so that you can choose the best one that suits your need. We will also compare the Fire Boltt Ring 2 vs Fire Bollt Ninja 3 to help you make an informed decision.

1. Design

Both sport a rectangle dial display, but the Ring 2 is a little more rounded and square than the Fire Boltt Ninja 3. Both of them sport a 1.69-inches LCD with full touch capability.

Both sport a similar design, but the Ring 2 looks more finished and has a nice curved edge compared to the Fire Boltt Ninja 2. They also use the same silicone wristband and sport a metal dial design.

Overall, both look very similar, depending on your preference for the colors. Ring 2 has more colors to offer than the Ninja 3.

2. Display

Both the Fire Boltt Ninja 3 and Ring 2 have a TFT LCD screen which is not great, but it is the standard given the price tag. Although, at the price tag at which Ring 2 comes in, you could

get a smartwatch with an AMOLED screen, but you would probably miss out on the calling feature.

There is a noticeable lag in touch for Ninja 3, but it is something you won’t notice after a while. On the other hand, this lag is not present in the Ring 2, which also comes at a greater price tag. Since both use TFT LCD screens, you can’t turn on the Always-On feature since it will drain your battery much faster.

3. Features

Fire Boltt Ninja 3 offers essential sensors like SpO2 sensor, heart rate sensor, pedometer, and an IP68 waterproof rating. It also features 60 different workout modes. This smartwatch can be a great addition to your arsenal if you are into sports or fitness.

While it provides many features, it has some quality control issues, especially with the heart rate sensor. It sometimes measures the steps wrongly too, but it is mostly quality control issues and not the problem with the inherent software itself.

It does not offer any calling functions or voice assistance, but it does offer some useful features like music control, camera control, notifications alert, and watch face customization.

Comparing the Fire Boltt Ninja 3 vs Ring 2, Ring 2 doesn’t have a long list of features, but it has one crucial feature which may be favored by many. Ring 2 has an inbuilt mic and speaker, enabling you to attend calls without taking out your phone.

It has all the useful call features like – Reject Calls, Take Calls, Speed Dial, Save contacts and Call history.

As for the sensors, it offers the standard Heart Rate sensor, pedometer, SpO2 sensor, Accelerometer, and a Barometer. It can withstand water up to 1m of depth and has a rating of IP67.

While it offers only 30 sports modes, it takes the cake in terms of calling function. It doesn’t have any known issues with using any features, and everything works just fine.

Ninja 3 offers more features for its sports mode, but the Ring 2 offers more call functions. Both have their own sets of features, and there isn’t a clear winner here.

4. Battery Life

Both have a similar battery life, but the Ring 2 will probably last you less since it uses many calling functions. Nonetheless, both offer 7 days of battery life with normal usage, which could have been more, but it has a decent battery life for a budget smartwatch. Both of them also give up to 25 days of standby time.

5. Bluetooth Connectivity

The Fire Boltt Ninja 3 and Ring 2 are compatible with Android, iOSand Bluetooth v5.0. The Ninja 3 has connectivity issues with Android devices, and some disconnect abruptly. Although this is not a problem on all the units, it is mostly a quality control issue.

The Ring 2 does not have connectivity problems, but the call quality is not great when used from the smartwatch itself. It is better to use wireless earbuds or use the phone itself.

6. Warranty

Since the same brand manufactures them, both Ninja 3 and Ring 2 give you a warranty of one year which comes in handy with any manufacturing defects or any problems with the smartwatch.

Conclusion

If we compare Fire Bollt Ninja 3 and Fire Boltt Ring 2, there is no clear winner; rather, the winner depends on the buyer’s preferences. If you prefer more sports features, Ninja 3 is a solid option, and it also costs less than the Ring 2.

The Ring 2 shines in the calling feature, and if you need it, the Ring 2 will be a better option for you, but it costs a little more, and the downside is that it does not offer an AMOLED display at this price.
